Folksy is a hub for all things handmade – perfect for craft-lovers and hobbyists alike. The products you can sell on Folksy fall into two main criteria, which are as follows:

Handmade Goods

Any hand-crafted items sold on Folksy need to either be handmade by you, or the result of an original design. Here are a few examples:

  • Knitted clothing
  • Prints or illustrations
  • Handmade jewellery
  • Pottery and ceramics
  • Cards and stationery
  • Cushions and throws

Craft Accessories and Supplies

As well as handmade clothes and homeware, you can also sell craft accessories and supplies on Folksy. These can either be handmade by you or mass-produced, so long as you have permission to sell them. Craft supplies might include things like buttons, bolts of fabric, knitting patterns and other haberdashery.

Folksy Basic vs. Folksy Plus Account

Folksy Basic

While becoming a Folksy Basic member is completely free, you will pay 15p + VAT for every item that you list. You’ll still enjoy the benefits of the largest online marketplace for handmade items, and you won’t pay any monthly subscription or upfront fee.

Folksy Plus

There are a lot of benefits to upgrading to a Folksy Plus account, but it will cost you £5 per calendar month. Here are the key advantages:

  • 10 images per product, instead of 5
  • Free Etsy import service
  • Access to the Featured Items plugin
  • A Folksy Plus badge on your shop profile
  • Unlimited free listings
  • Free relisting
