How do I get a quote?

Prices are calculated using the weight, dimensions and collection and delivery location of your parcel. To obtain a quote, you will need to know the weight of your parcel in kilograms and the dimensions of your parcel in centimetres.

You can use our quick quote tool to obtain the price for your parcel delivery.

 

Are YodelDirect able to carry my parcel?

We do have a list of prohibited items which we cannot carry at all. We also have a list of items which we can carry but will only be covered in the event of loss, not damage.

 

What happens if my parcel is bigger/heavier than declared?

We realise that mistakes can happen, however we would ask for your help to ensure we can keep our prices as low as possible by carefully weighing and measuring your parcel.

We rely on customer accuracy to ensure our pricing is the best we can offer, but even slight inaccuracies in dimensions can result in large volumetric differences.

Should extra payments become due we reserve the right to recover them.

 

Why does the website say my parcel is too large for standard services?

All our services have maximum weights/dimensions. For this reason, the quote will only return results for available services according to your weight and dimensions.

If your item is within the weight and dimension service restrictions but you can’t get a quote then it may be that your volumetric weight is too great for this service.

 

Which payment methods can I use with YodelDirect?

You are able to use multiple sources of payment such as Credit/Debit card, PayPal, Amazon Pay and PrePay.

 

Will I need to print a label to use this service?

If you do not have access to a printer, you will be given the option to print the labels when dropping off your parcel at the store.

 

What are the size restrictions of the YodelDirect services?

Our services Yodel Store to Store and Yodel Store to Door have the following size restrictions:

10kg Max Weight.

50cm Max Width.

50cm Max Height.

60cm Max Length.

 

I do not know the weight and dimensions of my parcel. What should I enter?

On UK to UK deliveries weights and dimensions are not critical, provided that your parcel is no longer than 50cm or no heavier than 10kg.

If you do not know the weights and dimensions:

  • Weigh yourself on the bathroom scales with and without the parcel then calculate the difference.

  • Check out a similar item on eBay (weights and dimensions are often given on the description).

  • Please be aware that the weight and dimensions entered need to include the packaging.

  • We strongly recommend that when entering weights and dimensions, that they are as accurate as possible. This is to ensure that you avoid further charges and any possible delivery delays.

 

Why doesn’t the order process accept my postcode?

You may get an error message regarding your postcode for various reasons. This is to ensure that parcels can be delivered correctly and on time without address issues.
